The banner saying ‘Free Sentsov’ was hung at the Trump Tower on Tuesday. Mariya Alyokhina from Pussy Riot band posted this on Facebook, as she and fellow activists from Russia, Great Britain, and the U.S. put it in the downtown New York.

The local police shut off Trump Tower for half an hour.

Three years ago, the Russian court charged Ukrainian Oleg Sentsov with ‘preparing a terrorist act’ in Simferopol. The Crimea-born activist was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Ukraine, the EU, and the U.S. condemned this decision, calling the whole case a political persecution.
