Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France claimed that nonfulfillment of Minsk Agreements by Russia can lead to the further deterioration of the relations between Russia and the European Union. He claimed this during his visit to Russia at the joint press conference with Sergey Lavrov, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Radio Liberty reported this.

Le Drian noticed that France as Germany is ready to be the intermediary power of the negotiations within the Normandy Format.

‘As long we delay and do not act than fewer contact lines we have and the perspective of the settlement of the crisis is farther from us. This way, the relations between Russia and the European Union deteriorate’, he said.

Lavrov said that Moscow is waiting for the fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements first of all from the Ukrainian side.
