France stands for holding of the Normandy format summit in the coming days in Paris. Interfax-Ukraine reported that referring to the statement of Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Yves Le Drian during the press conference. The press conference took place after "two plus two" meeting between Russian and French heads of foreign-policy and defense institutions.
"We would like the new high-level meeting of the Normandy format was organized in the coming days in Paris," he stated.
"Of course there will not be a long-term collaboration with Russia if the situation in Ukraine does not change for the better," French Minister noted.
Besides Le Drian stated about the significant progress relating to the situation in Ukraine.
"The release of 70 captured people, including 24 sailors, I believe that this release is the concrete outcome encouraged by France so much. And I think we should use the circumstances for the full observation of Minsk agreements," the official emphasized.
