The Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine. 256 members of parliament voted for.
"I am submitting a proposal to appoint Yulia Sviridenko to the position of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine," said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.
Svyridenko took the position that Oleksiy Lyubchenko was holding before being dismissed by parliament on November 3.
From 2015 she worked in senior positions in the Chernihiv Regional State Administration: headed the Department of Economic Development, held the position of First Deputy Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, from July to December 2018 served as head of the regional state administration.
In September 2019, she was appointed Deputy Minister, and from July 2020 - First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. More about who Sviridenko is can be read HERE.
From December 22, 2020 she worked as Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
As it was reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada has appointed Oleksiy Reznikov as the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk as the new Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine and Pavlo Ryabikin as Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
