Former Head of the State Investigation Bureau (SIB) Roman Truba appealed his dismissal from the post in the Supreme Court as he reported on Telegram.

“I filed the lawsuit to the Supreme Court on the recognition as illegal of the order of the president of Ukraine on the early stop of authorities of the director of the State Investigation Bureau,” Truba wrote.

According to him, the dismissal was the political decision, which "appeared in the result of the implementation of the scenarios of different groups."

“Currently, the SIB became the top of my professional career that is why I believe that the early stop of the authorities at the post of the director should get, besides the political, the legal assessment,” Truba added.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Roman Truba from the post of the Director of the State Investigation Bureau (SIB). Iryna Venediktova became the Acting Director of the State Investigation Bureau.

Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine initiated a criminal case against Roman Truba, the former Director of the State Bureau of Investigation.
