Former CEO of Yahoo accuses Russian agents of theft of data of 3 billion of accounts

Marissa Mayer, the former CEO of Yahoo Company claimed that the Russian hackers cracked the accounts of the users in 2013. She claimed this at the hearings of the US Senate Commerce Committee as Reuters reported.

‘Unfortunately, while all our measures helped Yahoo successfully defend against the barrage of attacks by both private and state-sponsored hackers, Russian agents intruded on our systems and stole our users’ data.”

Mayer apologized for the leak of data because she was a CEO of the company at this time.

Earlier it was reported that data from 3 billion of accounts was stolen during the cyber-attack in 2013.
