Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry stressed that the OSCE Permanent Council’s decision is extremely important; it also expressed outrage at Russia blocking the extension of mandate on the entire territory of militant-held area, along the Ukraine-Russia state border.
The Ministry marks that the monitoring by OSCE observers along the state border is an inseparable condition of successful peaceful regulation of the conflict. ‘Russia’s explicit resist to this important element of security is a goal-oriented counteraction of the Minsk process. Full-fledged presence of international observers will not let Russia continue secretly send its troops and weaponry on the Ukrainian soil’, reads the commentary.
