Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry recommends that Ukrainian citizens abstain from traveling to Egypt because of the complicated and worsening security situation in this country.
‘We highly recommend that the citizens re-consider their plans on visiting Egypt during the three-months-long period of the state of emergency, imposed on April 10, 2017. The mentioned restrictions are due to the increased activity of various radical terrorist organizations in Egypt – including the ISIS. The terrorist attacks committed by these organizations are increasingly often directed at civilians – including the attacks caused by religion-based hatred,’ the Ukrainian authority said.
Those currently staying in Egypt are recommended to consider all respective risks of further staying in this country.
Recently, ISIS attacked Coptic churches in Egypt; about 40 people were killed, another 100 were injured in the two attacks.
