Foreign Minister of Germany Zigmar Gabriel and Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov will discuss the implementation of the Minsk agreements during a meeting in Moscow on March 9. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"During the talks on March 9, the ministers will discuss the current state of Russian-German relations, practical issues on the bilateral agenda, including the implementation of specific projects in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and historical-memorial spheres, and will continue to exchange views on key international issues, including the course of implementation of the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, the promotion of the peace process in Syria, the promotion of normalization in Libya, European security issues and the fight against international terrorism," the report said.
Let us remind that German Foreign Minister Zigmar Gabriel visited Kiev on March 2-3 to meet with the leadership of the country. In particular, within the framework of the visit, he stated that the Germany sees no grounds for lifting sanctions from Russia.
