Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin thinks that Ukraine will have a real chance to get the European prospect after 2025. Besides, Ukraine may become a member of the EU closer to 2035 as Klimkin reported on Facebook.

“If the tendencies inside the EU balance, the Balkan countries successfully integrate in 2025 and other stars and planets stay in the favorable positions for the Euro-integration, then we will have a real chance to get the European prospect after 2025,” Klimkin wrote.

He reminded that the agreement of all states EU-members will be needed. “Because until that time, we should really in over our heads to change Ukraine and Ukrainians,” Foreign Minister noted.

Then, according to him, the pre-accession negotiations will start. “By the way, the European bureaucracy has not disappeared and I think the longer way, then it gets more complicated and difficult,” he said.

“If we analyze the retrospective of the extension of the EU during the last years, we will see that from the moment of the filing of the application until the getting of the membership, about 10-12 years pass in average…So, let’s count, there is nothing complicated, school arithmetic: +/- 2035,” Klimkin concluded.

The diplomat also drew the attention that a lot of countries-members will maximally carefully and even prejudicially check each achievement and steps of Ukraine.
