Conditional “Zelensky formula” for settlement of the conflict in Donbas is the implementation of the steps by the authority, which correspond to the expectations of the people of Ukraine, as Radio Liberty reported citing Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko.
“The conditional “formula of Zelensky” means that we will assume all steps, which we are able to assume responding to the expectation, first of all, of our people,” Prystaiko said.
He added that Ukraine would try to return the citizens of Ukraine from the captivity. Besides, the minister reminded about the attempt to reconstruct the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska and noted that the president of Ukraine offers to cancel the norm for citizens of the occupied territories to re-register every 60 days to get the pension. According to the offer of the president, they will be obliged to do it once a year.
“It is the basis of the conditional “Zelensky formula”, at the end of which it is stated that: If we will not be able soon, assuming all measures, to solve this issue (Donbas Conflict, - 112.international) then we should proceed to new, other radical measures. We have from six months to a year to do it,” Prystaiko said.
Explaining more radical steps, Prystaiko noted that Zelensky is the Commander-in-Chief and he has no other way but to defend the country until the end.
The Foreign Minister noted that the conditional “Zelensky formula” notes that Ukraine does not have five years to solve the conflict.
Later Prystaiko noted that he just imagined this formula and added that this formula does not exist and nobody wrote it.
Earlier Prystaiko reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to reach the final solution of Donbas Conflict.
However, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister underlined Ukraine does not agree to carry out a full amnesty of Kremlin-backed militants who took part in Donbas hostilities.
Besides, Prystaiko noted that the Constitution of Ukraine would not be amended on the so-called "special status" of Donbas and the occupied territories are offered to develop along the path of decentralization, as well as the rest of Ukraine.
MFA head Prystaiko noted that the ceasefire and withdrawal of the troops in Donbas would be discussed at Normandy Format Summit.
