Foreign Minister of Turkey to visit Ukraine

Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will pay a two-day visit to Ukraine. He will arrive in Lviv on October 7 as Ukraine’s government reported.

“In Lviv, the heads of Ukrainian and Turkish diplomacy will hold the Ninth meeting of the Joint group of strategic planning. The talks aim to prepare the holding of the Strategic council at high level chaired by the presidents of Ukraine and Turkey at the beginning of 2022 in Kyiv,” the message says.

The parties plan to discuss primarily security in the Black Sea region and preparations for this year's meeting in Ukrainian-Turkish Ankara." Quadriga "- political and security consultations at the level of the heads of the foreign policy and defense departments of Ukraine and Turkey.

Besides, during the visit of Cavusoglu, the Foreign Ministers will open a Ukrainian-Turkish business forum to create new economic opportunities for Ukrainian and Turkish companies, visit the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko, where they will participate in the international conference Diplomacy unites: new prospects of joint traditions.

During their stay in Lviv, the ministers will lay flowers at the burial place of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and honor the memory of the Ukrainian defenders who fought in the Donbas. Separately, the diplomats will visit the memorial to Turkish soldiers who died during the First World War in the village of Lopushnya, Rohaty district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
