Vitaliy Mykolenko, the defender of Ukraine's national team and Dynamo Kyiv will cost Everton 23.5 million euros.
According to Liverpool Echo, the Everton scouts have been eyeing the player for a while now, considering him one of the best young left defenders in Europe. Head coach Rafael Benitez hoped he could recruit Mykolenko as a player on loan. However, the team's management decided to pull off a full transfer.
Dynamo said it was ready for staggered payments, which pleased Everton even more.
"He goes to Everton. It's Dynamo's first big transfer since Yarmolenko. He's a young player and a role model for others. It's very important that the players have the opportunity to grow - apart from expecting the results", said head coach Mircea Lucescu.
Currently, England considers halting the Premier League due to Omicron, the new strain of coronavirus. Nine games have been postponed so far, and the Premier League could be halted until January.
