The United States, like the rest of the world, has already gradually begun to meet the new inhabitants of the White House. We already wrote about Biden here, now we will focus on the person of the new first lady. Fortunately, there is something to talk about.
Fact 1. This is Biden’s second marriage
Unfortunately, the first ended tragically. In December 1972, Biden's first wife did not survive after an accident. The BBC clarifies that she and her three children were in a parked car, which was hit by a tractor.
As a result, Joe Biden's wife Nelia and one-year-old daughter Naomi were killed. Two sons, Bo and Hunter, were seriously injured.
Three years later, he met Jill Jacobs on a blind date. Later, he offered her several times to marry him. Jill agreed only for the 5th time because for a long time she could not decide on a second marriage.
Jill's first marriage was with Bill Stevenson - first a football player, and then the owner of the iconic Stone Balloon bar in Delaware. The marriage lasted four years.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck during the marriage of Joe and Jill. in 2015, at the age of 46, Biden's eldest son, Bo, died. Iraq War veteran, lawyer, Attorney General for Delaware.
Fact 2. Jill Biden is an active participant in all her husband's election campaigns
Unlike Melania Trump, who was not particularly "active" in the election campaign. Jill Biden participated in all her husband's election campaigns (and there were three of them: in 1988, 2008, and 2020).
She organized campaign rallies in her native Pennsylvania and Delaware. And, of course, she herself took part in them.
One of the illustrative episodes happened during the last election campaign. At the March 3 rally, activists who opposed dairy products burst onto the stage where the Biden stood. One of the girls, who tried to break straight to Biden, was held back by Jill herself.
Here's how it happened:

Fact 3. Jill Biden is a teacher. And it looks like she will go down in history
Jill Biden has been raising children and grandchildren for decades and participated in her husband's presidential campaigns. And in parallel, she taught English and history at school and college. And she never quit her job.
As the "second lady," that is, the wife of the US Vice President under President Barack Obama, Jill continued to teach. Becoming the first lady is the same. Jill has no plans to stop teaching. And this, as the American media write, is the first such case in history.
Previously, none of the first ladies worked on a daily basis.
Fact 4. Jill Biden is a joke lover
The new first lady sometimes loves to play tricks on relatives. For example, according to Meduza, she once hid in the luggage rack of the vice president's plane to play a trick on employees.
And one of Jill Biden's granddaughters said that once her grandmother found a dead snake while jogging, took it with her and started scaring everyone at home.
Fact 5. Jill Biden has long been involved in charity work
According to the BBC, Jill Biden has been supporting families of war veterans for many years and runs a fund that educates girls about breast cancer.
