Five Crimean Tatars, residents of Crimea, will remain in custody until June 2017 – as suspects in membership in Hizb-Ut Tahrir, the infamous terrorist organization. The court of the occupied Simferopol satisfied the respective appeal filed by the prosecutor. TASS reported that on March 7.

Timur Abdullayev, Uzeir Abdulayev, Rustem Ismaylov, Aider Saledinov and Jemil Jemadenov were detained in Crimea in October 2016. The local prosecutors have been accusing them of being ‘members of the terrorist organization’.

The Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar human rights watchers believe there are acts of physical and mental pressure upon the detained persons, implied by the Russian special services.
