First consignment of oil from the USA delivered to Ukraine

Oil was purchased by Ukrtatnafta for processing at the facilities of the Kremenchug refinery

The first consignment of oil from the USA was delivered to Ukraine. It is reported by Odesa seaport administration press service.

“Today, at 7:20 a Wisdom Venture tanker under Hong Kong flag entered Odesa port number 2N. It delivered 75,000 tons of oil from the United States. According to the Business Information Network, a batch of Bakken oil was purchased by PJSC "Ukrtatnafta" for processing at the facilities of the Kremenchuk refinery," said in a statement.

According to the head of the Odesa port Igor Tkachuk, the company has extensive experience in working with petroleum products: earlier large volumes of oil from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Venezuela passed through the port.

“The new cargo traffic from the United States will also be provided with quality transshipment service. The port oil terminal is a large universal premise with a throughput capacity of up to 25 million tons per year and is equipped to work with almost all types of oil cargo,” Tkachuk said.

Earlier, Ukrtatnafta warned the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security and Defense Council about a possible collapse in the market of petroleum products.
