On August 15, the Taliban militants seized Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that he had left the country to avoid bloodshed as the Taliban entered the capital Kabul. Members of the diplomatic missions of the Western countries and their staff consisting of locals did not evacuate and they stay in the capital airport, where chaos is observed.
The mass media reported that up to 40 people died in the crowd and during the shooting. Later, it was reported that 12 people died in the chaos at the Kabul Airport according to the Taliban.
Besides, the UN secret document states that the Talibans activate the search of people, who, according to them, worked for the U.S. and NATO forces, including among the crowd at the Kabul Airport.
