Fire occurred at largest Iranian oil refinery

The largest Iran oil refinery suffered a fire due to fuel leakage in the 55th block of the building. It is reported by Anadolu.

According to Seyyid Ali Nurbakhshi, the representative of the enterprise the fire that engulfed one of the refinery blocks is localized, there are no casualties among the staff.

The incident occurred after recent attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, as well as shelling of an Iranian tanker in the vicinity of the Saudi port.

Earlier, the fire occurred at one of the largest oil refineries in Saudi Aramco. 

It was noted that two Saudi Aramco sites in large fields in Abqaiq and Khurais were attacked using drones.

Later, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Iran of attacking oil plants in Saudi Arabia, which cut production by about half.

Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected the US allegations of assault, saying that they are "meaningless."

Also after the incident with the Saudi refinery, an Iranian tanker was attacked by two missiles in the Red Sea near the city of Jeddah.
