The FBI and the CIA came to a conclusion that Russia interfered in the US elections to support the GOP candidate Donald Trump. This was informed in a letter of the head of the CIA, John Brennan to employees.

This was reported by the Associated Press news agency, citing a source who has seen the declassified letter.

Brennan said that the department agreed position at the meeting, which was attended by the head of the FBI James Comey and James R. Clapper, the director of national intelligence.

Source familiar with the text of the Brennan’s letter said that it speaks of a clear agreement between the parties with respect to "the scale, nature and objectives of the Russian intervention in US elections."

It is noteworthy that Barack Obama earlier claimed that back in September at the G20 summit in China he personally asked Putin to stop interfering in the US elections by Russian hackers.
