A fight occurred near the monument to an Unknown Marine in Odesa, southern Ukraine. Dumskaya.net reported that with reference to the local police.

As the locals celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the city’s liberation from the Nazis during WWII, a group of activists representing far-right patriotic organizations and their pro-Russian opponents got into a fight. The latter approached the monument to lay flowers and thus pay tribute to the Soviet past of Ukraine, which apparently provoked the nationalist activists to take action.
