Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook plans to testify at the U.S. Congress at the hearing of the issue of the protection of the personal data due to the scandal with Cambridge Analytica Company as CNN reported.
‘The 33-year-old CEO has come to terms with the fact that he will have to testify before Congress within a matter of weeks, and Facebook is currently planning the strategy for his testimony’, the message said.
The Facebook sources believe that the readiness of Zuckerberg to testify can also put pressure on Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to do the same.
Chuck Grassley, the Senate Judiciary Chairman sent the invitation to all three CEOs to the hearing that will take place on April 10.
As we reported Zuckerberg was invited to the European Parliament to explain this incident. Zuckerberg should explain whether the use of the data of the Europeans for the manipulation took place. It could be used by London’s Cambridge Analytica Company during Trump's election campaign.
