Facebook restricts Russian propaganda channel on its English-language account

The reason is the copyright violation by the channel during the broadcast of Obama’s press conference

Facebook Social network has forbidden Russian propaganda channel Russia Today to publish posts containing links to materials, images and videos on its page. This was reported on site of the channel.

It is noted that the restriction will be kept until 22:25 Moscow time (21:25 Kyiv time) on Saturday, January 21. RT stated that the restrictions were imposed during the farewell press conference of Obama because of copyright violations. During the ban TV channel will not be able to broadcast in Facebook the inauguration of the US President-elect Donald Trump, that will take place on 21 January.

Earlier it was reported that Russia Today bank accounts was blocked in Britain. This decision is not subject to revision.
