Junior Minister for Public Accounts of France Olivier Dussopt claimed that the prevention of the protests of the “yellow vests” all over the country will cost 8-10 billion euro as Reuters reported.

“It is between 8 to 10 billion euro… We are working on the fine-tuning and to see how to finance it,” the minister said.

Earlier French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the emergency economic state in the country.

The so-called protests of the “yellow vests” have begun on November 17. Firstly, the partakers of them protested against the fuel prices increase. The protests turned into the clashes with the police, riots, and arson of cars, shops, and banks.

As of December 10, more than 4,000 protesters were detained by the law enforcers.

Earlier Bloomberg reported that the French security services investigate the possible foreign interference into the protests of “yellow vests” after the particular messages on the social networks. A lot of social media accounts supposedly connected with the Russian Federation are suspected in the spread of the messages on the unrests in French cities during “yellow vests” protests.
