Pedro Agramunt, the former PACE President, and Jordi Xucla, the ex-rapporteur on Ukraine, have been stripped of the Assembly member's rights. Head of the Ukrainian parliament's delegation in the PACE Volodymyr Ariev posted this on Facebook.

'The PACE regulation committee recognized that the Spaniards, Pedro Agramunt and Jordi Xucla (both used a Russian civilian aircraft to visit Syria and Syrian dictator al-Assad), are guilty in serious violation of the code of behavior due to the Azerbaijan-related corruption scandal', he wrote.

Ariev added that the officials lost almost all rights of PACE members, except the right to vote and initiate resolutions. Xucla was stripped of the rights for two years, Agramunt - for ten.
