Maksym Mykytas, the former owner of Ukrbud company and the ex-MP of the Ukrainian Parliament has been notified of suspicion of ordering a kidnapping of a lawyer in Kyiv. Interfax-Ukraine reported that with a reference to a source in the law enforcement agencies.
"Today, investigative action took place at Mykytas's place. He was notified of suspicion of ordering a kidnapping of a lawyer who worked for the company in the capital city", the source said.
In October 2019, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine seized the property of former MP Maksym Mykytas; then, he also was suspected of illegally seizing the property of the National Guard worth over 3.3 million dollars.
As it was reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office informed ex-MP of the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation of suspicion in seizure of property of the National Guard of Ukraine for the amount of more than 3.3 million dollars.
NABU detectives have been investigating the case since December 2017.
