On Friday, January 25, former political adviser to US President Donald Trump Roger Stone was detained in Florida. He was charged in the framework of an investigation into Russia's intervention in the 2016 US presidential election.
Stone is also accused of falsifying testimony and creating obstacles to giving truthful testimony to another person.
As we reported, Special Adviser Robert Mueller investigates a possible conspiracy between Russia and the Trump presidential campaign. At the same time, Trump denies that he or his entourage worked with Russia to raise his ratings in the 2016 presidential election in the United States, and calls Mueller’s investigation “a witch hunt.”
