The European Police Agency (Europol) has conducted a successful operation against organized crime on the darknet as DW reported.

It is reported that 150 suspects were detained in illegal trade and the acquisition of illegal goods in the shadow sector of the Internet all around the globe. Operation Dark Huntor was the largest of its kind in the world. It was held in Australia, Bulgaria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Great Britain, USA, and Germany.

It is noted that the operation in Germany was coordinated by the police department in Oldenburg. Searches and detentions were carried out in nine out of the 16 federal states - Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein. Cash totaling about a million euros and cryptocurrency were confiscated, as well as firearms, stun guns and more than 260 kg of drugs, including 113 kg of amphetamine and tens of thousands of ecstasy pills.

65 people were detained in the United States, 24 in the UK, and four each in Italy and the Netherlands. In total, the police confiscated €26.7 million in cash, 45 weapons, 152 kg of amphetamine and methamphetamine, 22 kg of cocaine and 27 kg of opioids.
