On Wednesday, June 28, the European People's Party in PACE voted for the resignation of the President of Assembly Pedro Agramunt. This was announced by the vice-president of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Georgy Logvynsky on the air of 112 Ukraine.

"There are no people who voted against. There were some questions about the regulations, there were people who tried to block the vote. The fact remains that all voters voted "for" the resignation of Agramunt. Two members abstained. So the voting took place, it's a politically correct process, but again you have to understand that Agramunt has completely lost his face. Mr. Agramunt, thanks to Russian manipulation, chose the path which is unacceptable for Europeans," he said.

As reported, on April 28 the PACE Bureau expressed its distrust to Agramunt. It was decided at the meeting that Pedro Agramunt was not authorized to make any official visits, to attend any meetings or make any public statements on behalf of the Assembly as its chairman.

On June 26, a group of the European People's Party in PACE voted for distrust to President Agramunt.
