On July 18, the European Parliament will hold debates and voting for a resolution on Ukrainian political prisoners in the Russian Federation. This is reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU Mykola Tochytsky on his Facebook page.

Reportedly, debates and voting will take place on July 18th.

“Next week, on Thursday (July 18), the European Parliament will hold a debate in Strasbourg and will vote for a resolution on the Ukrainian political prisoners of the Kremlin,” Tochytsky wrote.

“The newly elected European Parliament has just begun its work, and the release of illegally detained citizens of Ukraine from Russian captivity is already one of the top priorities on the agenda,” Tochytsky wrote.

He also appealed to members of the European Parliament to support unity for the protection of human rights.

“I appeal to members of the European Parliament to demonstrate unity for the protection of human rights and support the Resolution for the sake of the release of Oleg Sentsov and all other Ukrainian political prisoners of the Kremlin who advocate for freedom, human rights and European values,” the diplomat said.
