The European Parliament offers the certain measures to support the countries of the 'Eastern Partnership' especially Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. It is stated at the project of the resolution approved by the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament on October 9. The resolution includes the recommendations to the governing institutes of the EU towards the working out of the order of the day and decision of the 'Eastern Partnership' summit that will take place on November 24 in Brussels.
Particularly, the European Parliamentarians support the creation of the so-called model 'Eastern Partnership+' for the countries that reached a prominent progress in the holding of the reforms that aim to the rapprochement with the EU. It will allow creating the possibilities for joining the Customs and Energy Unions, Schengen Area, canceling of the roaming charges and the attraction of the joint security and defense policy of the EU.
The MPs of the European Parliament recommend for the next 'Eastern Partnership' summit:
-To create trust fund for Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova that will provide private and state investments in the social and economic infrastructure of these countries;
-The European Parliament supports the holding of further economic reforms in the countries of 'Eastern Partnership', including the liquidation of the monopolies, restriction of oligarchs' role, prevention of money laundering and tax avoidance;
- The necessity for further pressure on Russia is noted to settle the conflict in Eastern Ukraine and restore the sovereigns at the occupied territories of Ukraine in Crimea, Georgia in Abkhazia and South Ossetia and Moldova in Transnistria;
- The Relevant Committee of the EU legislative body supports the deployment of the OSCE armed police mission in the East of Ukraine.
It is planned that the project of the resolution will be voted at the plenary session of the European Parliament in November.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova agreed to activate the order of the day at the 'Eastern Partnership' summit.
Former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius predicts that the Marshall Plan for Ukraine will be represented at the 'Eastern Partnership' summit in November.
The 'Eastern Partnership' is the project of the EU that aims to develop the integration connections of the EU with Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus.
