Europe should encourage Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelensky to look at the peace plan of Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, and to become more active in this direction. Nathan Gill, the Member of the European Parliament from Great Britain, commented on the presentation of the peace plan of Medvedchuk in Strasbourg.
"As well as Ukraine, Europe is interested in establishing peace. After all, Europe, as they said, is that very community that exists on the basis of peace. And this is why, if Europe wants peace to continue existing on the European continent, they should encourage the President of Ukraine to look at the proposal of a peace treaty and become more active in this direction," Nathan Gill underlined.
Gill also added that it is very important that the message of Medvedchuk’s peace plan is heard by Ukraine.
"It is important for us that the message of this proposal is heard by Ukraine, and what this conflict means globally in general. That is why we want the President of Ukraine to be a participant in these negotiations as well," the MEP said.
On January 29, Viktor Medvedchuk presented the plan on the settlement of Donbas Conflict during the congress of Opposition platform – For life. This plan completely meets the Minsk Agreements confirmed by the heads of Normandy Four (Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany), UNSC Resolution and current Constitution of Ukraine.
On July 17, 2019, Viktor Medvedchuk presented his peace plan to the MEPs of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
