The European Union plans to extend sanctions against a number of Russian citizens for another six months. It is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
At the moment, the issue is on the stage of non-public discussion. According to the agency. sources said that EU can extend sanctions in mid-March.
In September, the European Union formally extended sanctions against 146 individuals and 37 legal entities in Russia and Ukraine to March 2017.
Earlier, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini said that the European Union will maintain a unified position on the issue of anti-Russian sanctions.
