The recent tariffs on EU products introduced by the White House obstruct the current negotiation process between Brussels and Washington in terms of resolving the dispute about aircraft subsidies for Airbus and Boeing companies. The European Commission said so in a statement on Thursday, adding that "it hoped to find a swift solution with the next U.S. president, Joe Biden", as Reuters put it.
“The EU will engage with the new U.S. administration at the earliest possible moment to continue these negotiations and find a lasting solution to the dispute,” the news agency quoted the statement.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine decided to order three new An-178 transport aircrafts from Antonov State Enterprise. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, this will be the first time since Ukraine declared its independence, the press service of the President's Office reports.
An-178 can be used to deliver personnel, weapons, and light military equipment by landing and parachute methods as well as to transport goods.
