EU summit approves agreement on Brexit, - Tusk

Heads of states of governments of 27 member countries of the European Union have adopted the agreement on the exit of Great Britain from the EU at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council. Head of European Council Donald Tusk claimed this on Twitter. 

‘EU27 has endorsed the Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration on the future EU-UK relations,’ he said.

It is known that the set of documents for Brexit includes political declaration defining the framework for future relations of the EU and the United Kingdom. It is attached to the agreement on the exit of Great Britain from the EU and is mentioned there.  

As it was reported earlier, President of the European Council Donald Tusk claimed based on the results of an informal summit of the leaders of the EU countries that the plan suggested by the UK won’t work out. He is sure that the proposed structure of the economic interaction won’t work because it can undermine the united market.

As is known, on June 23, 2016, the British voted for exiting the EU. 52% of the voters voted positively, 42% were against. It was noted that British Prime Minister Theresa May would take the negotiations on Brexit under her own control.
