The "digital green pass", which will be valid in all EU member states, was shown by the European Commissioner for Internal Market Affairs Thierry Breton on the LCI TV channel.
"The European Commissioner in charge of vaccines, Thierry Breton, presented a future European health certificate, which will be valid from June 15th," it was reported.
As Breton noted, the certificate can be downloaded to a smartphone or printed on paper. It will not be mandatory, but airlines may require it.
So, a document with a QR code will contain the owner's surname, date of birth, passport number, as well as information about whether he was vaccinated and with what drug, and whether he was sick or not.
"This certificate will be agreed between the member states; European citizens who wish to obtain it will have to apply for it in their country. Its purpose is to restore a free movement, a normal life and the ability to move without risking themselves or others ", said Breton.
In early March, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen demanded that the EU countries technically ensure the launch of vaccination passports by the summer. At the same time, the draft EU vaccination passport being developed by the European Commission will include only vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Yesterday, on March 27, the authorities of the state of New York launched electronic passports for vaccination against coronavirus into circulation. According to the state administration, with the certificate, people can attend sports events, art performances, and various institutions.
