Ambassadors of the EU member countries gave green light to the fifth package of sanctions against Belarus. These include economic restrictions against 17 people and 11 organizations. Rikard Jozwiak, the Brussels-based reporter of Radio Liberty reported that on Twitter.

On November 15, Foreign Ministers of the EU member countries approved the new criteria of sanctions against Belarus.

Earlier, Eva Maria Lijmets, the Estonian Foreign Minister claimed that Aleksandr Lukashenko wants to be recognized legally elected president of Belarus, and he also expects the EU to lift the sanctions - in exchange for putting the end to the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. In that regard, the official claimed that the EU needs to live up to the deal about the sanctions against the Belarusian government, which is developed by EU Foreign Ministers.
