The European Commission may extend the sanctions against Russia for another six months as Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak reported on Twitter.

“Sanctions on Russia expected to be extended by 6 months at European Commission tomorrow according to EU official,” Jozwiak wrote.

Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz expressed the belief that no Russia’s statements at Normandy Summit will be able to force the EU to lift sanctions against Moscow.

Besides, Foreign Minister of German Heiko Maas stated that EU has no reasons to change the sanction regime against Russia.

The government of Canada also does not intend to deviate from the policy of sanctions against Russia that have been imposed due to aggressive actions against Ukraine.

Moreover, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte stated that the anti-Russian sanctions cannot be lifted until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is restored.
