The European Union is preparing to lift sanctions against former members of the government since ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, as well as their sons. Rikard Jozwiak, the correspondent of Radio Liberty in Brussels wrote about this on the Twitter page.
According to him, in the near future sanctions can be lifted from ex-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, former Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov, former Minister of Revenue and Duties Oleksandr Klymenko and former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka.
The journalist also said that sanctions will be lifted from the son of ex-president Oleksandr Yanukovich, the son of ex-minister of energy Stanislav Stavitsky and the son of ex-prosecutor general Artem Pshonka.
As we reported, European politicians have condemned the actions of the Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), which had opened a case against the fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on suspicion of treason. Member of the European Parliament, Vice-Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Petras Aushtravicius, German politician, Member of the European Parliament (2004-2019) Rebecca Harms and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt have spoken in defense of Poroshenko.
