The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, will pay a visit to Ukraine tomorrow. This was reported by the press center of the European Commission.

"High Representative, Vice President Josep Borrell will visit Ukraine on January 4-6. His first overseas trip this year underlines the EU's strong support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity at a time when the country is faced with a Russian military build-up and hybrid action," said in the message.

It is noted that together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba Borrel will visit Donbas and the contact line.

After that, head of EU diplomacy will travel to Kyiv, where he will meet with the Ukrainian authorities. The High Representative will address the press at 12:00 on Wednesday.

Recently the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed by phone the build-up of Russian military power around Ukraine. They took note of the Russian proposals on security in Europe.

Borrell then discussed with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba the security situation in Eastern Europe, given the buildup of Russian military power around Ukraine.
