The European Union has extended economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. Charles Michel, the head of the European Council posted that on Twitter.

"EU will pursue a united & strategic approach to Russia based on 5 guiding principles. We have rolled over our economic sanctions against Russia: Moscow must do its part to ensure full implementation of Minsk Agreements. We will explore formats & conditionalities of dialogue", he wrote.
As is known, the EU economic sanctions against Russia were introduced on July 31, 2014 and then boosted in September 2014. Since then, the restrictions are prolonged every six months, as the EU leaders gather on summits and decide whether Russia proceeded in terms of living up to Minsk agreements.

On June 21, the EU extended the sanctions against Russia; these have to do with the illegal occupation of the peninsula.
