Estonian citizen sentenced to 3,5 years in jail for espionage for Russia

Court of Tartu, Estonia sentenced Dmitry Kozlov, the agent of Russia’s FSB, to 3,5 years in jail as ERR reported.

Thus, Kozlov was notified about the suspicion in November 2018 and the verdict was delivered on March 20, 2019. By the way, Kozlov has Russian and Estonian citizenships.

According to the indictment, the FSB recruited Kozlov for secret cooperation to get information about buildings, workers, vehicles, equipment and regime of the border guard units situated in the area of responsibility of Liunask prefecture and tied with the protection of the border.

As we reported a group of people suspected in the espionage in the interests of Russia was detained in Lithuania; ex-chairman of the Socialist People’s Front and ex-vice mayor of Vilnius Algidras Paletskis, who is under arrest since October, is among them. 

Besides, Slovakia expelled one of the Russian diplomats. The military intelligence defined that the Russian conducted espionage against Bratislava and NATO member states.
