Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed hope that after the referendum on amendments to the constitution the parliament will decide on restoring the death penalty, AFP reports.

"I believe that if there is a will of God, the parliament will do what is necessary about your demands for the death penalty after April 16," Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader said that he would approve this law without hesitation.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking to his supporters in Istanbul, said that it was impossible to postpone the use of the death penalty after an attempted military coup.
