Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday, March 21 that the EU will no longer threaten Turkey with the process of gaining membership after the referendum on April 16, according to DW.

"Western leaders will no longer threaten Turkey with the process of gaining membership in the EU," Erdogan said and called Europe "fascist and brutal."

Turkish president also stated that after the referendum on April 16, Europe will see "a completely different Turkey".

Recall, on April 16 the republic will hold a referendum on the issue of amending the constitution.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking to his supporters in Istanbul, said that it was impossible to postpone the use of the death penalty after an attempted military coup.
