The Ukrainian Parliament supported amendments to the state budget 2020, that are supposed to help pay the wage arrears to miners working at Nadiya mine (Lviv region). Funds from the state budget will be allocated for that purpose.

Energy Ministry reported that on September 17.

The changes foresee allocation of USD 1.7 million to cover the debts.

As is known, the miners protested under ground for several days, demanding to pay wage arrears. As for August 25, the sum made 2.17 million UAH. The Ministry claimed it planned to turn to law enforcers, because checks proved that former managers of the enterprise allowed multiple violations.

In eary September, it became known that the enterprise's management received part of the sum for covering the debts. Later, mountaineers ceased the strike and returned to the surface.
