The Ukrainian government will most likely continue the extreme measures in the country’s united energy systems. Ihor Nasalyk, the Energy Minister said that while on air at 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to him, these measures will have no impact on the industry or incomes of common citizens.

‘Thanks to these measures, we managed to stop all five thermal power plants that use anthracite coal. Currently, we work on two anthracite coal power units, which utilize about 4.5 thousand tons of coal’, the minister said.

The official added that Ukraine has three times larger thermal generation capacity than it actually needs; however, the extreme measures will be extended, because, Nasalyk says, by the new heating season, Ukraine needs to consume the produced heat at a certain consumption rate, which has not been reached yet.
