The local elections in 40 united territorial communities across Ukraine will be held on April 30, 2017. The Central Election Committee of Ukraine reported that after their Tuesday session.
The election campaign will begin on March 11.
The communities will elect new heads of village, town and city councils and lawmakers of respective councils.
Previously, in December 2016, the first-ever elections of heads and deputies of village, town and city councils took place in 13 regions of the country. The elections are the final stage of unification of territorial communities and implementing newly shaped local authoritative bodies.
