The Central Election Commission of Belarus has announced the final results of the election. According to the commission, the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko wins the election. This was reported by TUT.by.
According to the results, 80.1% of voters (4 million 661 thousand 75 people) voted for Lukashenko, and 10.1% (588 thousand 622 people) voted for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Andrey Dmitriyeu gained 1.21% of the votes (70,671 people), Hanna Kanapatskaya – 1.67% (97,489 people), Sergey Cherechen – 1.14% (66,613 people).
4.59% of people voted against everyone (267,360 people).
Earlier, Head of Election Commission from Belarusian Vitebsk Sergey Pitalenko recognized falsification of the results of the voting in favor of current president Aleksander Lukashenko.
Belarus continues to protest against the official results of the presidential elections.
Besides, the strikes began on August 11 at the enterprises; their requirements were different: some workers simply came out to support the protests against Alexander Lukashenko or show solidarity with colleagues at other factories without clear demands.
