Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Milovanov stated that he was positively inclined to cooperate with the International Monetary Fund after a visit to Washington. Ukrinform reported this.
“Regarding the IMF issue, I am very positive. I think we just need to continue our work,” Milovanov said.
He also expressed hope for a good result of the negotiations that will take place between the parties in a few weeks in Kyiv. The minister also noted that the Ukrainian government has fulfilled almost all the IMF's expectations.
"Of course, we need to adopt a budget - they (the IMF - ed.) would like to see what the budget will be. This is important," the official said.

He also noted that the Fund wants to look at how the land market will develop. In addition, the minister added that for Ukraine now there are virtually no complex issues on the part of the IMF.
"The main question is to see how the current government behaves, how the budget process will be carried out, how technical issues will be implemented," Milovanov added.
October 16, it was reported that Ukrainian delegation with representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance went to Washington to negotiate with the IMF and other international financial organizations.
The government is negotiating a new IMF loan program that will replace the $ 3.9 billion reserve agreement, which expires in early January.
