ECHR obliges Russia to report on Pavlo Gryb's health conditions

The European Court for Human Rights urged Russia to provide information about the health conditions of Pavlo Gryb, the Ukrainian political prisoner. Yevheniya Zakrevska, the lawyer posted that on Facebook. 

She admitted that previously, Ukraine filed the appeal to provide urgent measures for the necessary medical assistance to Pavlo Gryb.  

'The Court demanded that Russia provide the medical documents regarding the actual health conditions of the appellant regarding the treatment that the doctors assigned during his stay in detention', she said.  

The court extended the detention period until April 24, 2019.

As is known, the son of Ukrainian Border Guard officer was detained in Russia in August 2017. The 19-year-old came to Gomel (Belarus) to meet his girlfriend and ended up in the Russian captivity, detained by the Russian special agents. He was taken to Russia and charged with preparing terrorist acts in Sochi.

The Ukrainian pleads innocent.
