The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) expressed the regret that the independent members of the supervisory board of the 'Naftogaz-Ukraine' had to resign as the press service of the EBRD reported.
'The EBRD wistfully notices that the situation has arisen when the independent members of the supervisory board of the 'Naftogaz-Ukraine' had no other choice but to resign. We want to thank them for their good business practice, professionalism and competence that they used in the process of the transformation of the 'Naftogaz'', the message said.
Also it is noted that the members of the supervisory board succeeded to reach prominent results.
'The second stage of the transformation of the 'Naftogaz' should be started long ago. The efficient management allowed this company to revive to the profitability and overcome the sizeable possibilities for corruption. Now it is tome to resolve to move on by the reforms' way', the EBRD added.
Last independent members of the supervisory board of the 'Naftogaz' Paul Warwick and Marcus Richards decided to resign. They bind their decision with the closing up of the reforms by the government.
Also, member of the supervisory board of the 'Naftogaz-Ukraine' and independent director Charles Proctor resigned earlier. Head of the management of the'Naftogaz' Andry Kobolev thinks that resign of the independent members of the supervisory board bears existential threat of the political interfere in the work of the company.
